Wilmington Police have arrested a New Castle man and recovered two firearms and narcotics.
 
On February 3 at approximately 5:20 p.m., members of the Safe Streets Task Force and Street Crimes Unit were conducting a firearm and drug investigation in the area of 8th and Church Streets. Police made contact with 19-year-old Marshawn Lewis, and he was taken into custody without incident. Officers subsequently executed a search warrant at his residence and recovered two loaded 9mm handguns and approximately 2.6 grams of heroin.
 
Lewis has been charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Four Counts
• Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 2 Quantity
