12:04 AM: Officers made contact and arrested a 47-year old female out of Fremont in the 39000 block of Seal Drive for an outstanding warrant. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
2:38 AM: Officer Norvell investigated a burglary in the 5000 block of Thornton Avenue. Loss is unknown at this time.
11:43 AM: Officer McCuin investigated a hit-and-run collision in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd.
11:50 AM: Officer McCuin investigated an overnight theft of a vehicle in the 38000 block of Water Lily Place.
12:07 PM: Officer Taylor made contact and arrested a 41-year old male in the area of Sycamore St and Rich Ave for possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
12:23 PM: Officer Kapu made contact and arrested a 39-year old female in the area 6000 block of Jarvis Ave for an outstanding warrant. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
4:03 PM: Officer Kapu investigated the theft of a vehicle in the 35000 block of Newark Boulevard.
8:10 PM:  Officer Herrera responded to a report of a collision in the 6000 block of Normandy Drive. Officer Herrera made contact and arrested a 42 year old male out of Newark for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

9:37 AM: Officer Pacheco investigated a theft of a license plate in the 6000 block of Potrero Drive.
9:18 AM:  Officer Taylor investigated an attempted theft of a vehicle that occurred overnight in the 6000 block of Tourraine Drive.
9:57 AM: Officer Taylor investigated an overnight theft of a vehicle that occurred overnight in the 7000 block of Dumas Place.
11:28 AM:  Officer Pacheco investigated a theft in the 8000 block of Seawind Way. Loss was personal items.
11:54 AM: Officer Piquette responded to a report of a broken window in the 6200 block of Bellhaven Pl.
12:18 PM: Sergeant Fredstrom investigated a burglary in the 6000 block of Newpark Mall Road. Loss was a suitcase and a generator.

12:03 AM: Officers responded to a report of a possible DUI in the 5000 block of Thornton Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 23 year old male out of Fremont and a 30 year old male for both being too inebriated to care for themselves or others. Both were booked at Santa Rita Jail.
10:53 AM: Officers investigated a report of a bomb threat in the 6000 block of Newpark Mall Rd. The threat was determined to be unfounded.

10:22 AM: Community Service Officer Parks investigated a theft of a vehicle in the 39000 block of Balentine Drive.
4:49 PM: Officer Hernandez investigated a theft from a garage in the 7000 block of Carter Ave. Loss was a bicycle and a backpack.
5: 32 PM: Officers responded to a report of a robbery that occurred in the 2000 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Officers are still investigating the incident.
11:19 PM: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 6000 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 32-year old male for being too inebriated to care for himself or others. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

12:06 PM: Officer Hernandez investigated vandalism in the 5000 block of Jarvis Avenue.
12:12 PM: Officers responded to a report of an attempted burglary to a vehicle in the 35000 block of Dumbarton Court. No loss at this time.
1:42 PM: Vehicle Abatement Officer Mora located an unoccupied stolen vehicle in the area of California St and Broadway Ave.
2:17 PM: Officer Piquette investigated an overnight burglary in the 34000 block of Newark Boulevard. Loss is unknown at this time.
4:03 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated an altered check.
9:10 PM: Officer Frentescu made contact and arrested a 66-year old male for being too inebriated to care for himself or others. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

1:58 AM: Officer Losier made contact and arrested a 44-year old male out of Newark for being in possession of burglary tools and driving without a license. The vehicle was towed and he was issued a citation and released on scene.
3:05 AM: Officers responded to a vehicle collision into three parked vehicles in the 36000 block of Walnut Street. Officer Rivas made contact and arrested a 27-year old male out of Hayward for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
11:08 PM: Officer Quinonez and Officer Herrera responded to a report of a vehicle collision in the area of Haley St and Mirabeau Drive. Upon arrival, Officer Herrera made contact and arrested a 53-year old male out of Fremont for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

10:35 AM: Officer Jackman investigated a report of a tree down on Thornton Ave. While on scene, Officers located a license plate indicating the tree was downed by a collision and not weather related. Officers located the driver, a 27-year old male out of Hayward. A complaint for hit and run was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
2:52 PM: Officer Johnson made contact and arrested a 29-year old male out of Hayward for an outstanding warrant in the 5000 block of Jarvis Avenue. He was issued a citation and released on scene.
7:40 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated a residential burglary in the 38000 block of Jacaranda Drive. Loss was miscellaneous items.
8:17 PM: Officers located a stolen vehicle in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. Officers made contact with a 29-year old male and a 26-year old male both out of Oakland. While investigating, Officers located a loaded “ghost gun”. Both subjects were arrested for possession of stolen property, carrying a loaded firearm in public, parole violation and convicted felon in possession of ammunition respectively. They were booked at Santa Rita Jail.
11:39 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated a theft from a vehicle in the 5000 block of Smith Avenue. Loss was credit cards.

12:00 AM: Officer Soto initiated a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Thornton Avenue and Newark Boulevard. Officer Soto made contact and arrested a 35-year old female out of Fremont for DUI. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

12:43 AM: Officer Soto made contact and arrested a 41-year old male for two outstanding warrants in the 5000 block of Mowry School Road. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
8:45 PM: Officers responded to a report of a collision involving two vehicles in the area of Thornton Avenue and Cedar Boulevard. Officers made contact and arrested a 37-year old male out of Fremont for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

5:21 PM: Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity described as a subject using a flashlight to look into resident’s windows in the 38000 block of Aralia Dr. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 21-year old male out of Union City for possession of a concealed dagger, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.
7:17 PM: Officers responded to a report of a subject causing a disturbance in the 7000 block of Sycamore Street. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 47-year old male for outstanding warrants. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
7:53 PM: While investigating a burglary in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd, Officer Cervantes made contact with a 43-year old male out of Fremont. The subject was ultimately arrested for possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

8:25 AM: Officer Kapu investigated a theft in the 35000 block of Cedar Boulevard. Loss was an EBT card.
9:34 AM: Officers investigated multiple overnight thefts of catalytic converters within the north end of the City.
11:08 AM: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 5000 block of Thornton Avenue. Upon arrival, Officer Kapu made contact and arrested a 33-year old male out of Newark for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
7:42 PM: Officer Rivas investigated a theft of two vehicle wheels in the 5000 block of Mowry Avenue.
8:23 PM: The entire shift responded to a report of a large group of cars in the area of Jarvis Ave and Newark Blvd. Newark PD, Fremont PD and CHP coordinated to divert a majority of the incoming vehicles and ultimately disperse the group of cars out of Newark.      
6:43 PM: Officer Pacheco and Officer Cervantes responded to a theft in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Road. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 34-year old male for shoplifting, possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia, and probation violation. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

3:34 PM: Officer Kapu responded to a report of shoplifting in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Upon arrival, Officer Kapu accepted a citizen’s arrest of a 42-year old male out of San Leandro for theft. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
7:27 PM: Officer Sanchez responded to a report of a subject striking two vehicles and causing damage in the area of Central Ave and Cedar Blvd. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and detained a 38-year old male. Both victims declined prosecution for vandalism. While investigating the incident, the subject began resisting and was ultimately arrested for resisting arrest. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
8:45 PM: Officer Sanchez responded to a report of a burglary that had just occurred in the 36000 block of Bettencourt St. The suspect fled prior to officer arrival. Officer Sanchez is still investigating.
9:02 PM: Officer Swadener and Officer Soto responded to a report of a disturbance in the 6300 block of Baine Ave. No one desired prosecution.
9:45 PM: Officer Herrera investigated a burglary in the 35000 block of Maidstone Court. No loss at this time.

1:22 AM: Officer Soto made contact and arrested a 31-year old female out of Hayward for possession of a controlled substance in the area of Thornton Avenue and Marshlands Road. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

11:17 AM: Officer Jackman investigated a report of vandalism in the 37000 block of Sycamore Street.

11:35 AM: Officer Torres responded to a report of a battery in the 3500 block of Newark Blvd. Officer Torres made contact and arrested a 52-year old female for battery. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
12:40 PM:  Officer Smith investigated a theft of a catalytic converter in the 39000 block of Seal Drive.
1:13 PM: Officer Jackman investigated a theft of a catalytic converter in the 39000 block of Ebbetts Street.
2:55 PM: Officer Jackman investigated a petty theft and hit & run in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd.
5:11 PM: Officer Taylor investigated a theft of a catalytic converter in the 37000 block of Marsten Drive.

8:31 PM: Officer Johnson made contact and arrested a 22-year old male out of Redwood City for an outstanding warrant. He was issued a citation and released.
10:54 PM: Officers responded to a report of a carjacking in the 36000 block of Elm St. On 1/18/23 the unoccupied vehicle was recovered in Newark. Officers are investigating this incident.

12:49 AM: Officers responded to a report of suspicious activity in the 3900 block of Balentine Dr. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 51-year old male for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
7:43 AM: Officer Kapu investigated an overnight theft of a catalytic converter in the 5000 block of Elmwood Avenue.
9:08 AM: Officers responded to a report of a battery in the 35000 block of Newark Blvd. Upon arrival, officers made contact and arrested a 33-year old male out of Newark for assault with a deadly weapon (not a firearm), possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
12:47 PM: Officer McCuin investigated a theft of a vehicle in the 39000 block of Cedar Boulevard.
1:13 PM: Officer Kapu investigated a burglary in the 6000 block of Overlake Place. Loss is miscellaneous items.
4:54 PM: Officer Hernandez investigated an overnight theft of a catalytic converter in the 5000 block of Lafayette Avenue.

11:02 AM:  Officer Adami investigated a burglary to a vehicle in 5000 block of Cedar Boulevard. Loss is unknown at this time.
12:20 PM:  Officer McCuin investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 36000 block of Burning Tree Drive. Loss was fishing equipment.
1:07 PM: Officers investigated multiple overnight thefts of catalytic converters throughout the city.
3:53 PM:  Community Service Officer Lau investigated a theft in the 37000 block of Breakers Road. Loss was an apple iPad.
4:43 PM: Officers responded to a report of vandalism that just occurred in the area of Thornton Avenue and Ash Street. Upon arrival, Officers located a broken car window. The investigation is still on going.
5:25 PM: Officers responded to a report of a road rage incident in the area of Newark Blvd and Jarvis Ave. The suspect fled prior to officer arrival. Officer McCuin is investigating.
5:32 PM: Officer Sanchez responded to a report of a theft that had just occurred in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Road. Upon arrival, Officer Sanchez made contact and arrested a 44-year old female out of Fremont for robbery. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
7: 03 PM:  Officer Sanchez investigated a robbery in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. The suspect fled prior to officer arrival. Officer Sanchez is investigating.
9:47 PM: Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of Central Ave and Cedar Blvd. Officers conducted a high-risk stop. Officers arrested a 62-year old female out of Newark and a 56-year old male out of Newark for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance respectively. The female subject was cited and released. The male subject was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

 2:46 AM: Officer Sanchez initiated a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Stevenson Boulevard and Balentine Drive. Officer Sanchez made contact and arrested a 49-year old female out of Fremont for an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail. Officer Sanchez also made contact and arrested a 52-year old male out of Fremont for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.
7:48 AM: Officer Arroyo made contact and arrested a 46-year old male out of Fremont for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
2:21 PM: Officer Torres responded to a report of a burglary that had just occurred in the 5000 block of Cedar Court. Upon arrival, Officer Torres made contact and arrested a 34-year old male for being in possession of burglary tools, trespassing, probation violation, and burglary. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
11:13 PM: Officer Sanchez responded to a report of a subject trying to open a locked front door in the 5000 block of Musick Avenue. Upon arrival, Officer made contact and arrested a 26 year old male out of Newark for being too inebriated to care for himself or others. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

12:12 AM: Officers responded to shots fired in the 5000 block of Mowry Ave. Additional officers arrived on scene and located multiple shell casings. No victims were located on scene. The incident is still under investigation.
2:05 AM: Officer Swadener responded to investigate a report of suspicious activity described as a subject prowling in the 39000 block of Balentine Dr. Upon arrival, Officer Swadener made contact and arrested a 40-year old male out of Newark for prowling and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
8:57 AM: While responding to an unrelated call for service, Officer Taylor made contact and arrested a 30-year old male in the 7000 block of Thornton Ave for multiple outstanding warrants. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
11:05 AM: Officer Arroyo responded to a report of an unwanted guest in the 7000 block of Braidburn Ave. Officer Arroyo located the subject, a 42-year old male out of Union City, nearby. The subject was ultimately arrested for an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
1:37 PM: Officer Jackman and Officer Taylor investigated a report of shoplifting in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Officers forwarded a theft complaint to the District Attorney’s Office.
2:25 PM: Officers Arroyo and Kapu responded to an alarm call in the 5000 block of Musick Ave. Upon arrival, the officers located a broken window and three bicycles nearby. While investigating, three juvenile subjects fled the scene in different directions. Officer Arroyo and Officer Kapu gave chase. Officers ultimately arrested three juveniles for burglary. The case was forwarded to the Alameda County Juvenile Probation Department for review and the juveniles were released to their parents.
9:21 PM: Officer Sanchez made contact and arrested a 30-year old male out of Newark for being in possession of drug paraphernalia in the 35000 block of Newark Boulevard. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

7:25 AM: Officer Jackman investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 5000 block of Stevenson Boulevard. Loss was a laptop.
7:52 AM: Officer Johnson investigated vandalism to a vehicle which resulted in a broken mirror in the 39000 block of Balentine Drive.
11:59 AM: Officer Adami investigated a cold strong-arm robbery that occurred the previous day. Loss was a backpack.  
2:09 PM: Community Service Officer Parks investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 5000 block of Thornton Avenue. Loss was power tools.
2:53 PM: Officer McCuin investigated a theft of an electric bike in the 1000 block of Newpark Mall Road.
3:22 PM: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 34000 block of Newark Boulevard. Upon arrival, Officers made contact and arrested a 44-year old male for an outstanding felony warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

9:59 AM: Officer Johnson was checking a vehicle in the 34000 block of Newark Boulevard. The officer made contact and arrested a 48-year old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
11:51 AM: Community Service Office Parks investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 35000 block of Cedar Boulevard. No loss at this time.
12:29 PM: Officer Johnson initiated a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Robertson Avenue and Starflower Street. Officer Johnson made contact and arrested a 46-year old male out of Newark for displaying unlawful tabs on the vehicle. The vehicle was towed and the subject was cited and released.

8:22 AM: Officers investigated multiple overnight thefts of catalytic convertors within the south end of the city.
4:14 PM: Officer Pacheco investigated a battery in the 37000 block of Oak Street. The subject fled prior to officer arrival.
4:18 PM: Officer Johnson investigated a battery that occurred several days ago in the 35000 block of Cedar Boulevard. Investigation is still ongoing.
4:27 PM: Officer Adami investigated a theft in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Road. Loss was worth $3,000 worth of merchandise.
4:28 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated a theft in the 6000 block of Tourraine Drive. Loss was $3,800 in gift cards.

3:26 PM: Officer Frentescu investigated multiple burglaries to storage units in the 6000 block of Overlake Place. Loss is miscellaneous items.
9:39 PM: Officer Quinonez made contact with a 33-year old male out of Oakland. A records check revealed the subject had an outstanding warrant. Officers attempted to arrest the subject but he resisted arrest. After a brief struggle, officers arrested the subject for an outstanding warrant, resisting arrest, and probation violation. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

6:55 PM: Officer Adami made contact and arrested a 25 year old female for an outstanding warrant in the 5000 block of Cedar Court. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

12:36 AM: Officer Adami responded to a report of a subject attempting to break into a garage in the 6000 block of Wilma Ave. Officers made contact and arrested a 31-year old male out of Newark for being too inebriated to care for himself or others. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
1:14 AM: Officers located an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of 8000 block of Seawind Way. A high-risk stop was initiated. The suspect vehicle fled and officers did not pursue. Incident is still under investigation.
