1. Shooting into Dwelling (1630) 200 Block of East Church Street, Seaport District
The male victim, 70, was inside his home when it was struck by gunfire. No one was injured, and there was no suspect information.
2. Person Shot (1737) 4600 Block of Pacific Avenue, Lakeview District
The male victim, 56, was in the listed area when the suspect approached him, wanting to fight. During their altercation, the suspect shot the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. Officers located and arrested the suspects. ARRESTED: Robert Robinson, 50, and Norman Harbor, 44, for an assault with a deadly weapon and weapon charges.
3. Pursuit Arrest (2220) Hammer Lane and Kelly Drive, Bear Creek District
Officers were dispatched to the area on a report of a possible drunk driver. They located the suspect and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The suspect failed to yield and led the officers on a short pursuit. The suspect vehicle became disabled, and officers removed the suspect from the vehicle. The suspect was arrested without further incident. ARRESTED: Karen Derush, 55, for DUI and traffic charges.
4. Weapons Arrest (0122) 1400 Block of North El Dorado Street, Civic District
Officers investigated a vehicle collision and contacted the suspect, who was intoxicated. The suspect refused the officer’s commands to exit the vehicle, and officers had to remove him from the car. Officers then located a firearm inside the vehicle. The suspect was transported to an area hospital, where he attempted to flee. An officer deployed his taser to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Juan Villa, 28, for resisting arrest, DUI, and weapon charges.
