INCIDENT: PC 496 - Possession of Known Stolen Property
LOCATION: 12800 Block of 6th Street, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Victor Marin, 28-years-old, Resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Monday, February 6, 2023, sometime in the early morning hours, the victim's blue Honda Pilot was stolen from his residence. Over the next couple of hours, several people reported attempted burglaries of their vehicles and residences, and posted Ring Security video of the blue Honda Pilot at all the locations. On one of the security videos, the suspect was seen exiting the stolen vehicle and was identified as Victor Marin.
On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at approximately 5:19 p.m., Deputy A. Bremer conducted an area check at a mobile home park and found the stolen blue Honda. Through investigation, and with the help of other Yucaipa deputies, suspect Marin was contacted and arrested. A search warrant was authored for his residence and deputies located weapons, drugs and ammunition along with other stolen property. Deputies also recovered another stolen vehicle from the suspect.
Marin was booked in at the Central Detention Center where he remains in custody on $30,000 bail.
