Circle-K Stabbing **UPDATE** - Suspect in custody

On February 4, 2023, at about 10:00 PM, Simi Police responded to the Circle-K located at 665 Los Angeles Avenue, to investigate a possible robbery. When officers arrived they met with an employee at the location who told them that 2 males entered the store, stole alcohol then fled on foot into the wash area east of the business. The employee gave chase but eventually lost sight of the suspects. The employee did locate items that were left behind in the wash area. The employee was recovering the items when the suspects returned and stabbed him. He was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening stab wound. The suspects fled the location.
The suspects are described as:

  • A Hispanic adult male, medium build with black hair and moustache. He was wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
  • A White adult male, slender build. He was wearing a green beanie hat, white T-shirt and black shoes.
**UPDATE**

February 8 - Simi Valley Police were able to identify one of the suspects in this crime and had been attempting to locate him.  The primary suspect, a juvenile, was determined to be the party responsible for stabbing the victim. 

Patrol officers responded to a call of a fight in progress in the 1700 block of Alviso St. and discovered one of the parties involved in the fight was the wanted suspect.  The suspect, a 15-year-old male, was taken into custody without incident. 

He will be booked in Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center for the following:

245(a)(1) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon
490.5 PC - Shoplifting
