Category 2 travel advisory in effect 
Today, February 9, 2023, a category two travel advisory has been issued for Unalaska due to heavy snowfall that is making the roadways treacherous to travelers. Additionally, blowing snow is causing intermittent white out conditions. Alaska statute requires that headlights be illuminated when visibility is limited. There are some portions of the roadways that are extremely difficult to traverse, travel should be limited to that which is absolutely necessary.
