ARRAIGNMENT/BAIL STATUS: Urban was processed at Amsterdam Police Headquarters and issued an appearance ticket requiring her to appear in court at a later date.
INCIDENT NARRATIVE: On January 24th at approximately 7:00 a.m. Amsterdam Police were notified of a stolen credit card that was used at a local business on Market Street in the City of Amsterdam. An Amsterdam patrol officer responded to the business and was able to obtain surveillance footage of the transaction and suspect. Through further investigation the suspect was later identified as Tammy J. Urban. On February 8th 2023, Urban arrived at Amsterdam Police headquarters to turn herself in where she was processed on the above charges.
The Amsterdam Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
While there was probable cause for this arrest, all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
