Wilmington Police arrest two juveniles in connection with firearm theft incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested two juveniles in connection with the theft of a firearm.
On January 3 at approximately 2:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the 100 block of Towne Estates Drive in reference to a theft of a firearm.
The case was assigned to Detective Brendan Shea of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Shea identified a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old male as suspects and both were taken into custody without incident.
The 17-year-old male has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Theft of a Firearm
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Theft Under $1,500
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
The 16-year-old male has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Theft of a Firearm
- Conspiracy (Second Degree)
- Theft Under $1,500
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
