Agate Pass Bridge Cleaning - Expect Delays
Please see the below WSDOT Travel Advisory for the annual Agate Pass Bride cleaning which will reduce the bridge to one lane with delays of 30 minutes or more. Work begins at 8:45 a.m. during the week starting on Monday, February 13.
Expect long delays approaching SR 305 Agate Pass Bridge in Kitsap County
Travelers are reminded to plan for 11 days of significant daytime congestion approaching the State Route 305 Agate Pass Bridge.
Washington State Department of Transportation crews will close one lane across the bridge during daytime hours Feb. 13-19 and again from Feb. 27 through March 2. The lane closure creates a work zone for annual maintenance and an in-depth bridge inspection.
Work schedule
- 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, Feb. 13-17
- 7:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 18-19
- No work is scheduled between Monday, Feb. 20 and Sunday, Feb. 26
- 8:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Feb. 27 – March 2
- One-lane alternating traffic across the bridge.
- Expect at least 30-minute delays in each direction.
- Law enforcement officers will direct traffic at the intersection of SR 305 and Suquamish Way Northeast.
- Add extra travel time to help prevent delays especially if you are heading to the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal.
- Consider postponing discretionary trips.
- Travel early in the morning or later at night.
