Shots Fired Incident
Update: Two arrests have been made in the shots fired incident in the 1100 blk of N. Grant Ave. One firearm believed to be used in the incident was recovered. This is still an active investigation.

Male (26 years old)
Charges:
941.29(1m)(a) – Felon in possession of a firearm
941.30(1) – 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
941.20(2)(b) – Intoxicated Use of a Firearm
973.10(1) – Probation/Parole Violation
Sophal Sok
Female (41 years old)
Charges:
946.41(1) – Obstructing an Officer
946.49(1)(a) – Misd. Bail Jumping
941.20(2)(b) – Intoxicated use of a Firearm

On 02-11-23 at approximately 9:31pm Rock County Communications received several calls of shots fired in the area of W. Memorial Dr. and N Grant Ave. Janesville Police Officers arrived on scene and located several shell casings in the street and a vehicle struck by gunfire in the 1100 blk of N Grant Ave.
No injuries have been reported at this time. This is an ongoing investigation at this time, we will release further details on 02-13-23. There is no ongoing threat to the community.
***If any Janesville resident who lives in and around the area of W. Memorial Dr. and N. Grant Ave could check home security cameras/footage from 9:15pm to 9:45pm on 02-11-23 and report it to the Janesville Police Department (608-755-3100) or Rock County Communications (608-757-2244) to assist in the investigation.
