LOCATION: 5000 Block of Adobe Road, Twentynine Palms

SUMMARY: On Monday, February 13, 2023, at approximately 7:00 P.M., Morongo Basin deputies assigned to Twentynine Palms responded to reports of a structure fire near the 5000 block of Adobe Road, in Twentynine Palms. Deputies arrived and located a structure fully engulfed in flames. Fire Department personnel arrived and began extinguishing the flames. Deputies investigated the incident and determined the structure was not occupied and was reported to be vacant.
Southbound lanes remained closed while fire personnel worked on controlling the fire. Morongo Basin Fire and Sheriff's Bomb and Arson responded to investigate the incident. This investigation is ongoing at this time.
