Wilmington Police arrest wanted Philadelphia man on gun and drug charges:
Wilmington Police have arrested a wanted Philadelphia man on gun and drug charges.
On February 10 at approximately 7:18 p.m., a police officer on patrol in the 1700 block of West 4th Street conducted a vehicle stop after observing a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Radiel Rodriguez of Philadelphia, was found to be wanted on an unrelated matter. He was taken into custody without incident, and police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun with an extended magazine, 683 grams of marijuana (packed in 96 individual packages) and $378 in currency.
Rodriguez has been charged with the following offenses in addition to the traffic violation:
- Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
