The Barberton Police Department wants you to know it has been receiving some calls about an arrest warrant scam.
Don't fall for it. The Barberton Police Department will never call to inform you about a warrant and demand payment of any kind. If you have a real warrant, we won't call you on the phone; we will knock on your door. And we would never, ever demand money, gift cards or anything of value in exchange for handling the warrant.
If you get a call like this, hang up and go to ReportFraud.ftc.gov and report them. Help stop these preying scammers.
