INCIDENT: Burglary, Grand Theft, Embezzlement, Receive Stolen Property and Conspiracy
LOCATION: 988 S. Washington Avenue, San Bernardino
SUSPECT(S): Geroge Jimenez, a 39-year-old Male Resident of Rialto
Erika Aguilar, a-39-year old Female Resident of Rialto
Jose Monay, a 54-year-old Male Resident of Fontana
VICTIM(S): Scotts Miracle-Gro Company
SUMMARY: On February 7, 2023, detectives from the Sheriff's Central Station investigated an internal theft ring at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company. The thefts of high-dollar valued products were committed over several months, by multiple employees and family members. The investigation concluded with the service of five search warrants which resulted in the recovery of over one million dollars in stolen property, and U.S. currency from profit of the sales of the stolen property.
Three suspects, identified as George Jimenez, Erika Aguilar and Jose Monay, were subsequently placed under arrest for PC459 - Burglary, PC487 - Grand Theft, PC503 - Embezzlement, PC496 - Possession of Stolen Property, and PC182(a)(1) - Conspiracy to Commit Crime. Jimenez, Aguilar, and Monay were booked at the Central Detention Center. Jimenez is being held in lieu of $1,000,000 bail. Aguilar and Monay were released on a bail bond.
