Flood Warning until 02:00PM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast West Virginia, including the following county, Greenbrier.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM EST.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. The rainfall has ended, but it will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 958 AM EST, Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. As of 9:50AM Anthony Creek was at 14.9 feet and rising. Flood Stage is 14 feet. At this stage Blue Bend campground will be flooded and parts of Anthony Road will be flooded. Emergency management reports high water along at several spots along Highway 92. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Neola and Alvon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. When it is safe to do so, please send your reports of flooding, including mudslides or flooded roads, to the National Weather Service by calling toll free at 1...8 6 6...2 1 5...4 3 2 4.
