UPDATE: High Wind Warning from Monday Midnight through Tuesday 8 AM

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 8 AM HAST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Southwest winds 40 to 60 mph with gusts up to 75 mph
expected.
* WHERE...Central Aleutians.
* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 8 AM HAST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...High winds may move loose debris, damage property,
and cause power outages. Travel will be difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest winds are expected around 2 AM HAST for the cities of Adak and Atka. Wind direction will be
west-southwest. Winds and lingering rainfall will subside
rapidly after the wave departs to the north Tuesday morning.
Temperatures are expected to stay above freezing for the
duration of the event.
Instructions:
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown
around or damaged by the wind. Prepare for the possibility of
power outages. Use caution if you must drive.
