Winter Storm Warning until 05:00AM Thursday

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches below 7,500 feet and 4 to 8 inches above 7,500 feet. Winds gusting to between 45 and 65 mph.

* WHERE...Far Northwest Highlands and West Central Mountains.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 5 AM MST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. This includes along portions of I-40. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.

* AFFECTED AREAS: FAR NORTHWEST HIGHLANDS ... WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS
