INCIDENT: Vehicle Burglary / Grand Theft
LOCATION: 42800 block of Moonridge Road, Big Bear Lake
SUSPECT(S): Antonio Crus-Roosevelt, 32-year-old resident of Fontana
SUMMARY: On February 16, 2023, deputies responded to a local business parking lot for a vehicle burglary report. Witnesses observed a person break the rear window to an unoccupied vehicle and steal property. The suspect fled north on Moonridge Road. Photographs of the suspect vehicle were provided to investigators.
Deputies identified the vehicle and conducted a follow-up investigation in the city of Fontana, were the vehicle was located and stopped. The vehicle contained evidence of the crime. Deputies served a search warrant at Antonio Cruz-Roosevelt's residence, and located several thousand dollars worth of stolen property.
Cruz-Roosevelt was booked into custody at the Central Detention Center for burglary, grand theft, and possession of stolen property. Cruz-Roosevelt posted bail and is pending arraignment on April 6, 2023, in San Bernardino County Superior Court.
