Subject on Parole Found to Possess Firearms & Ammunition

On the morning of Tuesday, February 21, 2023, the Santa Maria Police Department assisted California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Parole Officers with parole compliance checks at residences within the City of Santa Maria.
As a result, Ulisses Guzman Fuentes (35 years old) was contacted in the 500 block of Summerhill Drive. Guzman was found to be in possession of firearms and ammunition at the residence. The firearms and ammunition were seized, and Guzman Fuentes was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail.
Guzman Fuentes was booked on the following charges: Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in a Possession of Ammunition and a Parole Violation.
