WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM WEDNESDAY, 2/22, TO 4 AM PST FRIDAY, 2/24
National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Antelope Valley until 4 am Friday, 2/24.
- Moderate snow is expected at times. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches on the foothills and 1 to 3 inches on the valley floor. Snow will mix with or turn to rain on Friday afternoon. Winds are expected to gust as high as 65 mph early Wednesday and again on Friday.
- Travel could be very difficult, with the potential for travel delays and road closures, including portions of Highways 14 and 138. Strong winds could cause tree damage.
- Areas of Highways 14 and 138 could be snow-packed and icy at times, mainly closer to the foothills.
- Slow down and use caution while traveling.
