City facilities will be open today and closing to the public at 12:00p.m.
 
The City of Springfield has declared a Snow Emergency beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2023:

• City Facilities Open Hours Wednesday, February 22nd:
  • Library: 9:00a.m. - Noon,
  • City Hall: 8:00a.m – Noon
  • Community Center: 8:00a.m – Noon
• Snow Removal Operations:
  • Downtown and residential streets begin operations at 5:00a.m.
  • Please continue to refrain from parking near snow windrows.
  • Emergency Snow Routes will continue to be maintained as able during the blizzard with emergency vehicles escorted by plows as needed to access other areas.
• If you do need to leave home:
  • Drive slowly to reach your destination.
  • Make sure your headlights are on.
  • Give other drivers and plow operators extra room.
