IMPD Detectives Arrest 51-Year-Old Suspect for January Homicide
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives arrested 51-year-old David Ross, Sr. yesterday for his alleged involvement in the death of 53-year-old Jodessa Cooper.
On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at approximately 9:00 pm, IMPD North District officers responded to 3800 Mill Crossing Dr., on a report of a death investigation. Upon arrival, officers located Jodessa Cooper, inside a vehicle, with injuries consistent with a gunshot wound(s). Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) arrived and pronounced Jodessa deceased at the scene.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist in identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence.
Detectives were able to identify David Ross, Sr. as a potential suspect. Yesterday, Wednesday, February 22, 2023, IMPD Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) located Ross, Sr. and Homicide detectives arrested him for Reckless Homicide.
An arrest is merely an accusation and the suspect is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
