Youth Education Program- Coloring Contest
“Not Even Once”
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is proud to partner in a joint youth education program with the Calaveras County Fair. Laurie Giannini was inspired to develop this program due to shared dialogue during a recent town hall meeting and contacted the Sheriff’s Office. The program “Not Even Once” focuses on educating youth regarding the dangers of drug use. With the real threat of Fentanyl exposure and other harmful effects of illegal drugs, even trying or experimenting could pose a significant threat to their health and well-being.
Sheriff DiBasilio is constantly looking for ways to interact with the community and offer programs to improve their safety and security. Without community involvement, this and other programs would not be possible. We would like to thank Laurie Giannini and others like her who take time out of their day to help make Calaveras a better place to live and thrive.
