*Couple Inches of Snow Tomorrow Night*
After a quiet day today and most of tomorrow we will actually have a winter storm to deal with. If anything, the trend over the last day has been a bit colder and snowier. The daytime tomorrow will warm into the low 40s so when snow arrives 4 - 7 PM, it can be mixed with some rain or sleet initially. Temps will fall as snow turns steady to heavy at times during the evening. Despite marginal temps, a moderate to heavy snow will allow several inches of wet snow to accumulate. Pavements will see less, but with a steady snow occurring at night, there will be pavement accumulation. As we head into the pre-dawn, snow will start to lighten and become increasingly mixed with rain. By daybreak on Tuesday, it'll be all rain which then tapers off midday into the afternoon.
*Hazardous Weather: Accumulating snow along with some mixed precipitation.
*Locations affected: Focused on the I-80 corridor down to the I-78 corridor.
*Timing: Later Monday afternoon and Monday night into early Tuesday.
*Impacts: Snow along with some areas of a wintry mix can result in hazardous travel. The snow can significantly reduce the visibility for a time.
*Confidence on occurrence: High that a storm will occur, low to moderate on snow/ice amounts as this will depend on how much mixing occurs and where.
