Reminder! The community meeting on replacing Stop & Shop is this evening, Tuesday, February 28th at 7 PM at the HP Community Center at 220 So. 6th Avenue.
The evening will kick-off with a welcome from Mayor Foster, followed by an overview of efforts to date and key challenges by Councilman Matt Hale. Borough Administrator & Redevelopment Director Teri Jover will then provide an update on the transportation and other support programs being put into place to help residents during the "gap" period without a store. Lastly, Borough Planner Jim Constantine will present the key elements of the redevelopment plan being drafted in order to help secure a grocery store on the site.
After the presentation, participants will be encouraged to stick around, visit our break-out tables and talk with the Mayor, Councilmembers and borough professionals about these efforts in more detail. We will continue until 9 PM.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, the presentation portion will be videotaped and replayed on the Borough's HPTV YouTube channel as well as the two cable access channels.
