Scheduled Power Outage at 10am for 3 Hours, Today 
A scheduled power outage is planned for today at 10:00 AM. The scheduled power outage is expected to only last three hours. The purpose for this power outage is so OG&E can rebuild their system that powers our city’s electricity and infrastructure. OG&E has assured us that the power outage will last no longer than three hours. The City of Tonkawa was just advised of their intentions, this morning. The plan was originally scheduled during times that would not hinder activities. However, they are worried about heavy winds in the forecast that might damage the temporarily repaired system and take the city off line for a much longer time (like Sunday and Monday). Please make arrangements for the city power to be off at 10am for three hours. Emergency Services will still be available during that time.
