Full Notification

On February 28, 2023, at about 1647 hours, deputies responded to the 7200 block of Di Giorgio Road in Lamont for a reported shooting.  Upon their arrival, deputies located a 19-year-old male suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. Medical aid responded to the scene to treat the male; however, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Kern County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit Detectives responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
