Wilmington Police arrest Claymont man on gun and drug charges: 
The Wilmington Police have arrested a Claymont man on gun and drug charges.
On February 23, at approximately 1:17 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the 100 block of West 7th Street, after observing a traffic violation. Officers made contact with the driver – 35-year-old Justin Dye, of Claymont. Following a brief investigation, police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun, 132 grams of marijuana, and 26 MDMA pills. Dye was taken into custody without incident.
Dye was charged with the following offenses including traffic violations:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
