This crime occurred on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, between 1230-1245 p.m..  The victim was working behind 115-119 North Main Street, Mercersburg, PA 17236.  The victim was cleaning out brush, trees, and vines from along Johnston's Run, behind what use to be known as Rues Bar. 
 
He put his Stihl chainsaw on the ground near a dumpster, (on the north side of Johnston’s Run), and left the area at about 1230 p.m..  When he returned fifteen minutes later, at 1245 p.m., he discovered the chainsaw was stolen. 
 
STOLEN ITEM:  Stihl Chainsaw, Model MS440 orange in color with 20-inch bar, VALUE: $1,000.00.
