* At 417 PM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 3 miles northwest of Hiawassee to 11 miles north of Dahlonega to 6 miles west of Dawsonville, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EST for northeastern Georgia...western North Carolina...and Upstate South Carolina. Remain alert for a possible tornado!
