CDBG application deadline extended
Hoboken based nonprofits and organizations serving low and moderate-income individuals can still apply for Community Development Block Grant funding. The application submission deadline has been extended to March 10 at 4 p.m.

Washington Street CVS site community meeting announced
The City will hold a virtual community meeting for the Washington - Observer Gateway Redevelopment Plan, which includes the downtown CVS building and adjacent parking lot, on Monday, March 13, at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The City will present the draft redevelopment plan for the site and gather community input. No action will be taken by the governing body.

Art in the Park registration opens March 7
Registration for the City's Art in the Park program will open on Tuesday, March 7, at 10 a.m. The five-week outdoor, creative arts program for children is designed for children between 1 and 4 years old.
The program includes crafts, story time, music, sing-alongs, and more.
The cost for participants is $45 for five classes (45-minute sessions) and all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Elysian Park and Wednesdays in Stevens Park beginning the week of June 20. Register at hoboken.recdesk.com/Community/Home starting on March 7 at 10 a.m.

Celebrate Irish American Heritage Month
The City will host a flag-raising ceremony on March 8 at 11:30 a.m. at City Hall in honor of Irish American Heritage Month.
Register for Hoboken Bike Camp
The City of Hoboken, Hoboken Family Alliance, and Hoboken Public School District have partnered with ICan Bike to offer a Hoboken Bike Camp this summer. The camp aims to teach individuals with disabilities how to ride a two-wheel bike. The program is free for Hoboken residents and offers 75-minute sessions for five days starting on June 26.

Meet Hoboken's Social Workers
The Office of Constituent Services will host extended office hours on Tuesday, March 14, with Hoboken's social workers Lori Hetzel and Bianca Hoffer.
Extended office hours will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hoboken City Call. Please enter from the Newark Street entrance.
Register for youth tennis & lacrosse
The Hoboken Division of Recreation will offer youth tennis and lacrosse this spring season starting in April.
Youth lacrosse registration will open on March 13 at 5 p.m. Children between the ages of 7 and 14 are eligible to participate.
Youth tennis registration will open on March 14 at 5 p.m. Children between the ages of 6 and 14 are eligible to participate.

Register for Community Solar
Low-to-moderate income residents can still register for the City's new community solar program! The City launched the new solar energy assistance program to reduce low-to-moderate income residents’ electricity costs by an estimated 25 percent. The program allows residents who cannot install solar panels on their own roofs to achieve the savings and environmental benefits of solar energy from an offsite solar project.
