***UPDATE: As of 03-03-23 at 6:30pm, roadways are now open and residents can return home as officers are concluding the investigation soon.***

The Janesville Police Department with the assistance of the Beloit Police Department is currently in the 600 block of South Main Street conducting an investigation. Expect temporary road closures and traffic delays in the area until the investigation is concluded. Residents are encouraged to avoid the area if possible. There is no immediate threat to the community. More information will be released as it becomes available.
