PR1 Case #23-116

Stacie Gregory, Acting Chief of Police

(415) 289-4170

Sausalito Police arrested a Tae Kwon Do instructor Sunday after he admitted to criminal sexual activity with a student, a 10-year-old girl.

Joshua Boyes, 35, is in the Marin County Jail. Bail is set at $100,000.

The victim’s mother reported the crime Friday.  Sausalito Police with assistance from investigators with the Marin County Sheriff’s Office immediately began an investigation into the matter.  After Boyes was questioned on Sunday, police arrested him and booked him for two felony charges: Lewd Acts with a Minor Child and Oral Copulation with a Minor Child.

The victim reported the incident happened Wednesday, March 1, at a Sausalito city-owned facility in the 400 block of Litho Street. Boyes is a contractor hired by the City of Sausalito to teach Tae Kwon Do at the facility.

“We are concerned there could be more victims,” said Sausalito Police Chief Stacie Gregory. “If any other family has evidence that their child also may have had inappropriate contact with Boyes, please contact the Sausalito Police Department.”
