INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Mayhem, False Imprisonment, Inflicting Injury on a Spouse, Assault with a Firearm on a Person, Resisting Arrest, Parole Violation.
LOCATION: 8400 block of Fourth Avenue, Hesperia
Suspect(s): Andrew Steven Gallegos, 24-year-old, resident of Hesperia
SUMMARY: A suspect identified as Andrew Steven Gallegos, 24-year-old resident of Hesperia, had a warrant for his arrest in reference to an Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Mayhem, False Imprisonment and Inflicting Injury on a Spouse, that took place on January 12, 2023, in the city of Hesperia. Deputies with the Hesperia Police Department were advised Gallegos fled to the Los Angeles County area and was no longer in Hesperia.
On Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at approximately 7:36 p.m., the Hesperia Gang Enforcement Team obtained information on Gallegos’ whereabouts in the city of Hesperia. Gallegos was located at a residence in the 8400 block of Fourth Avenue. Upon contact, Gallegos was located hiding under a bed and resisted arrest. Deputies were able gain control of Gallegos where he was subsequently placed under arrest and was taken into custody. Gallegos was taken to High Desert Detention Center and booked for PC 203- Mayhem, PC 236- False Imprisonment, PC 245(A)(2)- Assault with a Firearm on a Person, PC273.5(A)- Inflicting Injury on a Spouse, PC422- Threatening with Intent to Terrorize, PC69- Resisting Arrest, Parole Violation, and an outstanding felony warrant.
