Newark Firefighters Participate in Reading Programs at 20 Schools Citywide

Newark Firefighters visited over 20 schools citywide to participate in National Read Across America, Dr. Seuss Day, and Celebrity Reading programs. Schools visited included Ann Street, Marion P. Thomas, Franklin Street, The Leaguers, USVO Ivy Hill, Mt. Vernon, Brighter Tomorrow, Branch Brook, Oliver Street, Mckinely, Ridge Street, Salome Urena School, and more. Participants included Newark Fire Captain H. Sims, Firefighters L. Byrd, T. Jones, S. Smith, and E. Irizarry. Other participants included Mr. P. Seelinger, Mrs. H. Malone, and Ms. P. Clark.
