McCURTAIN COUNTY, Oklahoma (March 6, 2023) – The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is investigating a homicide in McCurtain County that resulted from a house fire on March 2, 2023. The McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a house fire in the 2800 block of Womack Road. Once the fire was put out, Danette Stowe, 43, was found deceased and her husband was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.
 
Deputies arrested Allen Shaw (9/21/1933) and Randy Sander (5/7/1954) at the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office on March 2, 2023. They are currently charged with Second Degree Murder and Arson in the Second Degree. Shaw and Sander both have $500,000 bonds and remain in custody in the McCurtain County Jail.
 
In addition to the OSBI, the McCurtain County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma State Fire Marshal’s Office, Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office, as well as the Garvin, Idabel, and Millerton Fire Departments.
