Please be advised, on March 8, 2023, from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Jekyll Island Authority will conduct a controlled burn on small patches of land located on Oleander Golf Course.
The burn does not pose any threat to nearby homes or structures. The golf course will be open, and smoke issues should be minimal for in-play areas.
All burn plans have been approved by Georgia Forestry and will be managed and monitored by the Jekyll Island Fire department and the JIA Conservation team.
