SUSPECT: Taymar Barron, 22-years-old, Resident of Barstow
SUMMARY: On Friday, March 3, 2023, at approximately 10:34 a.m., Barstow deputies responded to a call for service reference a man with a gun. Upon arrival, the reporting party advised deputies the suspect fled the scene and provided deputies with a description of the suspect, the involved vehicle, and direction of travel.
At approximately 10:52 a.m., Deputy Saragih observed a vehicle matching the description given by the reporting party. Deputy Saragih conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Taymar Barron. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located a black Polymer 80 handgun “ghost gun” underneath the front passenger seat.
Barron was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm and felon prohibited from possession of ammunition. Barron was arrested and booked into the Barstow jail.
