Attention Bear Valley residents,

We want to inform you that we have contacted the Kern County Office of Emergency Services and requested sand for our community and the greater Tehachapi area. The sand has been deposited on Highline Road, just east of Tucker road, to ensure ease of access for everyone. You must take your shovels and people to assist if needed.

In addition, we want to let you know that sandbags are available free of charge from the CSD during regular business hours (8:00 am - 4:30 pm). However, please note that the quantity of sandbags is limited, although we are trying to source more. Therefore, we kindly request a limit of 3 bags per household.

We encourage you to use this resource to protect your property if you feel it is at risk during the potential flood event predicted for this weekend.
