8:55 AM: Officer Johnson made contact and arrested a 36-year old male out of San Leandro for an outstanding warrant. He was cited and released.
1:00 PM: Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive driver in the 5000 block of Thornton Avenue. Upon arrival, Officer Nobbe made contact and arrested a 35 year old male out of Fremont for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

10:07 AM: Officer Johnson responded to a report of a theft in the 5000 block of Jarvis Avenue. The subject fled prior to officer arrival. The subject was located nearby. Officer Johnson made contact and arrested a 24 year old female for shoplifting and possession of a controlled substance. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
3:38 PM: Officer Pacheco responded to a report of a theft that just occurred in the area of Stevenson Boulevard and Balentine Drive. Officer made contact and arrested a 40 year old male for theft. He was issued a citation and released on scene.
11:25 PM: Officer McCuin recovered a vehicle stolen out of Newark in the area of Mowry Ave and i880.

7:05 AM: Officers responded to a report of a subject swinging a hammer around in the 5000 block of Thornton Ave. The subject fled prior to officer arrival.
7:21 AM: Officer Piquette investigated a burglary to a vehicle in the 5000 block of Stevenson Boulevard. Loss was a laptop.
7:41 AM: Officer Nobbe responded to a report of a burglary to a storage unit in the 8000 block of Mowry. During the investigation, Officer Nobbe learned that two vehicles were stolen during the burglary. Officer Nobbe located and recovered one of the vehicles in San Jose.
8:55 AM: Officer Pacheco investigated a theft of a vehicle in the 38000 block of Water Lily Place.
2:38 PM: Officer Jackman investigated a theft in the 35000 block of Newark Boulevard. Loss was tools.
9:12 PM: Community Service Officer Lau investigated the theft of a vehicle in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. The vehicle was located and recovered in Milpitas.

3:12 AM: Officer Slavazza made contact and arrested a 45 year old male out of Newark for an outstanding warrant in the 7000 block of Thornton Avenue. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
1:46 PM: Officers responded to a report of a theft that just occurred in the 3500 block of Newark Boulevard. Subjects fled the prior to officer arrival. Officer Arroyo located the subjects near by. Officer Arroyo made contact and arrested a 64 year old male out of Hayward and a 36 year old female out of Hayward for theft. Both were issued a citation and released on scene. Items were recovered.
9:05 PM: Officer Slavazza investigated a report of shoplifting in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Officer Slavazza accepted a Citizen’s Arrest of a 29-year old female for shoplifting. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

12:37 AM: Officers attempted to make contact with a 51-year old male in the area of Ash St and Snow Ave. The subject fled on foot and officers pursued on foot. The subject pointed what appeared from a distance to be a metallic object and stated he would shoot officers. The subject threw a large knife at officers. The subject was ultimately safely taken into custody without further incident. He was arrested for exhibiting a deadly weapon (not a firearm), obstructing an officer, resisting arrest and threatening an officer, and outstanding out of state warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
3:41 AM: Officer Herrera responded to a report of an unresponsive motorist in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. Officer Herrera made contact and arrested a 24-year old male out of Salinas for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
7:58 AM: Officers located a stolen vehicle in the 6000 block of Redeker Pl.
5:15 PM: Officers investigated a robbery in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Incident is still under investigation.
9:05 PM: Sergeant Warren made contact and arrested a 21-year old female out of Newark for an outstanding warrant in the 35000 block of Newark Boulevard. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

12:16 PM: Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive driver in the area of Dragonfly Street and Sea Turtle Avenue. Upon arrival, Officer Hernandez made contact and arrested a 40 year old male out of Oakland for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
8:12 PM: Officers investigated multiple burglaries to vehicles in the South end of the city. Total loss was laptops.

7:43 PM: Officer Cervantes investigated a report of shoplifting in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Officer Cervantes accepted a Citizen’s Arrest of a 41-year old male out of San Francisco for shoplifting. He was also arrested for being in possession of controlled substances, possession of narcotic substances, and probation violation. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

4:18 AM: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle driving recklessly in the 5000 block of Jonathan Dr. Officer Swadener initiated a traffic enforcement stop. Officer Swadener made contact and arrested a 19 year old male out of Newark for reckless driving and disorderly conduct of alcohol. The vehicle was impounded for a 30 days. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

1:29 AM: Officers made contact with a 53-year old male out of Newark in the 35000 block of Newark Blvd. The subject refused to cooperate during the officer’s investigation. He was ultimately arrested for for possession of a controlled substance for sale and obstructing a police officer. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail. Officers also made contact and arrested a 41-year old male out of Newark for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.
10:25 AM: Officer Jackman investigated an overnight burglary in the 37000 block of Sycamore Street. Loss was jewelry and luggage.
12:00 PM: Officer Jackman investigated an overnight theft of a catalytic converter in the 6000 block of Newpark Mall Road.

12:00 AM: Officer Adami and Officer Herrera initiated a traffic enforcement stop of vehicle in the 7000 block of Thornton Avenue. Officers made contact with a 28 year old female and a 59-year old male both out of Hayward. Both subjects were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substances respectively. The female subject was booked at Santa Rita Jail. The Male subject was cited and released.
10:41 AM: Community Service Officer Parks investigated a residential burglary in the 7000 block of Mayhews Landing Road. No loss at this time. Investigation is ongoing.
11:37 AM: Officer Jackman made contact and arrested a 47 year old male out of Newark for outstanding warrants in the area of Walnut Street. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
12:31 PM: Officer Frentescu investigated a residential burglary in the 8000 block of Mayhews Landing Road. Investigation is ongoing.
1:03 PM: Officer Kapu investigated a report of a hit and run vehicle collision in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. A 33-year old male out of Newark was located nearby and arrested for hit & run. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
8:34 PM: Officers responded to a report of a burglary in the 6000 block of Purple Crab Dr. The residence was searched and no suspects were located inside. Incident is being investigated by Officer Cervantes.

While investigating, Officer Johnson made contact and arrested a 33-year old male out of Fremont and 29-year old female out of Fremont for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools and possession of drug paraphernalia respectively. The female subject was booked at Santa Rita Jail. The male subject was cited and released.

9:23 PM: Officer Slavazza responded to a report of threats in the area of Chapman Dr and Lake Blvd. Officer Slavazza made contact and arrested a 26-year old male for criminal threats. While enroute to Santa Rita Jail, the subject began to thrash and kick about in the backseat. Additional officers responded to assist. The subject was additionally charged with delaying the duties of a peace officer and booked at Santa Rita Jail.
