INCIDENT: PC 211 – Robbery
LOCATION: Super Target, 20288 Highway 18, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Carly Ann Jackson, 41-years-old, resident of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): 20-year-old female, Super Target Loss Prevention Officer
SUMMARY: On Sunday, March 5, 2023, at approximately 3:22 pm, Super Target Loss Prevention reported a robbery from their store located at 20288 State Hwy 18 in Apple Valley.
Loss prevention reported a female suspect had concealed items inside a trash can, while moving throughout the store. The suspect then attempted to leave the store without paying for the items. A Super Target loss prevention officer approached the suspect as she approached the exit doors of the store, passing all points of sale, and asked her to leave the shopping cart with all items, inside the store. The suspect, later identified as Carly Ann Jackson of Apple Valley, pushed the cart into the loss prevention officer with force and left the store.
Deputy Mammolito responded to the call and began investigating this occurrence. Through investigative leads, Carly Ann Jackson was identified as the suspect who concealed the items, assaulted Target’s loss prevention officer, and removed the items from the store. Deputy Mammolito obtained a warrant for Jackson’s arrest and detectives from Apple Valley Police began looking for the suspect. On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, Jackson was located by Detectives Gus Garcia and Detective Trevor James. Jackson was arrested and property stolen during the robbery was recovered.
Jackson was arrested for robbery and booked at High Desert Detention Center, where she is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Jackson was found to be a convicted felon on Post Release Community Supervision.
