The Green Bay Police Department would like to remind bar owners of legal hours of operation as daylight saving time begins on Sunday, March 12, 2023, and clocks will be set forward by one-hour at 2:00 a.m.
Normal Class B Premises Closing Hours (Green Bay ordinance 4-9.e):
- 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday morning through Friday morning
- 2:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning through Sunday morning
Daylight Saving Time (State Statute 175.095(2)):
- Spring: Begins 2nd Sunday of March at 2:00 a.m.
- Fall: Begins 1st Sunday of November at 2:00 a.m.
Daylight Saving Time Class B Premises Closing Hours:
- Spring: Begins second Sunday of March at 2:00 a.m. Once clocks are ahead, taverns must close by 3:30 a.m.
- Fall: Begins first Sunday of November at 2:00 a.m. Taverns gain one extra hour of bar time.
