* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of central California and northern California, including the following counties, in central California, San Benito. In northern California, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz.

* WHEN...Until 400 PM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 957 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Southbound lanes on California Highway 101 are closed near Gilroy. Flooding will continue on Uvas Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams. Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away.
