Wilmington Police arrest three men on drug charges following investigation:
Wilmington Police have arrested three men on drug charges following an investigation.
On March 8 at approximately 4:06 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division and the DEA Task Force were in the 700 block of West 8th Street conducting a drug investigation when they made contact with 24-year-old James Wing, 29-year-old Karon Phillips of Elkton, MD, and 22-year-old Shamar Foster. All three subjects were taken into custody without incident, and police recovered 37.4 grams of Cocaine, .504 grams of Fentanyl, 26.3 grams of marijuana and $1,375 in currency. All three suspects were found to be wanted on unrelated matters.
Wing has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver – Two Counts
Phillips has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver in Tier 3 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 3 Quantity
Foster has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – Three Counts
