* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches above 8,000 feet with locally higher amounts near 16 inches above 9,500. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph.

* WHERE...Tusas Mountains Including Chama.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 PM MST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Some roads may be closed, especially U.S. Highway 64 between Tres Piedras and Tierra Amarilla. The combination of heavy snow and blowing snow may lead to periods of very low visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy wet snow with this event may break tree limbs and down powerlines.
