Serious Traffic Crash This Morning
The Marietta Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is currently investigating a serious injury vehicle crash that occurred at 8:25 AM on March 11, 2023, on Cobb Parkway just North of Frey’s Gin Road.
The initial on-scene investigation revealed that sixty-two-year-old Reginald Williams of Austell, Georgia was driving his 2016 Chevrolet Impala northbound on Cobb Parkway when he was struck from behind. Twenty-four-year-old Michaela Hudson of Stockbridge, Georgia was operating her 2020 Hyundai Elantra northbound on Cobb Parkway at a high rate of speed. Hudson rear-ended William’s vehicle, causing his vehicle to violently spin out of control and leave the roadway. Williams was transported to WellStar Kennestone Region Medical Center with serious injuries. Hudson was not injured and declined medical treatment at the scene. Hudson was placed under arrest and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center for Driving Under the Influence, Serious Injury by Vehicle, and other traffic related charges.
