The North Texas Municipal Water District began annual system maintenance on March 6, 2023, which has resulted in a change in the taste of water for some residents. The maintenance process, which will continue through April 3, 2023, includes a temporary suspension of the use of ammonia, which can increase the noticeable taste of chlorine already present for water disinfection. Water remains safe to drink and use.
