Sheriff’s Detectives Investigating Attempt Homicide Outside Turlock
Turlock, CA -
Detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating an attempt homicide in rural unincorporated Turlock.
On Monday, March 13, 2023, at 8:55 p.m., patrol deputies were dispatched to the 700 block of S. Daubenberger Rd southeast of Turlock on an assault with a deadly weapon call.
Upon arrival, law enforcement, paramedics and emergency fire personnel located a Hispanic male adult in his mid-twenties suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. First responders administered first aid and asked for an air ambulance to respond to expedite the patient’s transport to a local area hospital.
The victim underwent surgery and is believed will survive his injuries. Investigators are still actively working their case. No suspect or motive information are available at this time. Detectives continue to process their crime scene, interview witnesses and gather additional evidence.
