1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (1750) 1200 Block of West Downs Street, Lakeview District
The male victim, 74, was arguing with the suspect who struck the victim in the head with a metal object, causing an injury. The victim declined medical, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident. ARRESTED: Hunter Castillo, 20, for assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, and vandalism.
2. Person Shot (2244) Channel Street / San Joaquin Street, Civic District
Officers responded to the area on a report of a person shot and located the male victim, 16, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in critical but stable condition. There is no suspect information.
