* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations generally ranging between 8 and 12 inches above 8000 feet with locally higher amounts of 18 inches on some high peaks above 10000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Northern Mountains.
* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM MDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Some roads may be closed. Significant travel delays are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Due to relatively warm temperatures, much of the snow will initially fall as a heavy, wet snow. This may cause abnormally heavy weight on rooftops and other structures at high elevations.
